Fuel system
Inspect the heat guard’s (A) contact sur-
faces against the carburettor and cylinder,
respectively, checking for cracking wear
which may cause leaks.
Inspect the distance piece (B) for crack-
ing wear or other damage that may cause
leaks, which may in turn cause irregular
idling and starting problems.
Assembly
Assemble in the reverse order as set out
for dismantling. Check that the bushes (C)
are not lost.
Throttle model RJ
Remove the
fi
ve screws holding together
the throttle halves.
Carefully swing away the right throttle half
and note how the different parts are
fi
tted.
Pay attention when the halves are separa-
ted so that both rubber elements (1), one
on each side, are not lost.
Remove the short-circuit cable from the
switch (2).
Lift up the throttle cable (3) from the chan-
nel and unhook it from the throttle (4).
Lift off the return spring (5) and note how
it is placed.
Remove the lock for unintentional throttle
activation (6).
If the front vibration damper (7) is to be re-
placed, the shaft must be split. See below.
NOTE!
Carefully check that there are no
folds in any the fuel hoses.
