5. Attach the G snap rings.
6. Make sure that the pulse channel in the cylinder is
open.
7. Put a new cylinder base gasket on the crankcase.
8. Lubricate the piston and the large end bearing with
some drops of two-stroke oil.
9. Use the piston ring compressor and carefully move
the cylinder into position.
CAUTION: Do not turn the cylinder. The
piston rings break easily.
10. Tighten the 4 screws diagonally to the correct

11. Assemble the remaining parts of the cylinder and
piston in the opposite sequence to how they were

7.11.1 To disassemble the crankshaft and
crankcase
To get access to the crankshaft and crankcase, you
must remove all components of the product. Refer to the
manual section for each component for instructions.
1. Remove the starter. Refer to
starter on page 12.
2. Remove the ignition system. Refer to
disassemble the ignition system on page 26.

5. Remove the cylinder and piston. Refer to

6. Remove the key for the flywheel.
7. Remove the 4 screws (A) from the crankcase cover
(B).
