11.3 Dismantling clutch shoes and
springs
WARNING: Use protective glasses when
working on the clutch. The springs might
have high tension and can cause injury.
1.
Remove the three bolts. See figure 6.
2.
Lift off the front cover plate and the clutch shoes.
3.
Twist the clutch apart. See figure 7.
11.4 Cleaning and inspection
1.
Clean and inspect the different parts with regard to
wear or other damage.
2. Wear on the clutch shoes must not be greater than
shown in figure 8.
3. Inspect the play in the sleeve bearings in the clutch
shoes and the wear on the springs by the fastening
hooks.
CAUTION! Do not lose the sleeve bearings
found in the clutch shoes.
