3.10 Installation examples
The following pages contain a number of examples of installations. The aim of these examples is to demonstrate
how you quickly can get started with Automower
®
and get a good installation. The examples provide suggestions
for how the boundary and guide wires can be laid and how the mower is to find the charging station. The
Automatic
passage handling
function entails that the corridor width for the guide wire can be kept at the factory setting. How lawn
coverage setting proposals for the 320 model can be set are also illustrated, for instance following the guide wire
and then leaving it after a specific number of metres. This does not apply to the 330X model as it uses GPS assisted
navigation and thereby does not make use of the lawn coverage settings. In the case of the 330X model, certain
installations can also be further improved by using two guide wires to give as a result shorter search times. However
only one guide wire is shown in the examples below.
3.10.1 Example 1
In example 1 the charging station is positioned somewhat centrally in the garden. A guide wire has been laid through
the passage to make it easier to search for the charging station. Two lawn coverage areas are set up to make sure
the lawn is mown evenly, one along the guide wire and one along the boundary loop on the left.
3.10.2 Example 2
In example 2 the charging station is first positioned at the centre of the garden. A guide wire has been laid through
the passage to make it easier to search for the charging station. The guide loop is very long in this example which
can make it hard for the mower to follow the guide. If the guide loop is longer than 400 metres, the installation must
be solved in another way.
