Operating instructions
The shaking grate
The stove is equipped with a rod that is used to shake the grate at the bottom of the combustion
chamber. The rod, which is placed at the front, can be operated from both sides and is used to empty
the chamber of ashes.
The ash pan
The ash pan is conveniently located at the side of the stove. It can be placed either on the right or
left side of the stove by exchanging the two side cladding panels.
The door
The door has been mounted with ceramic glass. In order to reduce development of soot, window
rinse air is passing down the glass.
• Electronically controlled door:
The door can be automatically opened and closed and stopped in any position in between with
the help of the remote control or the impulse switch beneath the stove. There is no danger of
squeezing your fingers when doing this. The door can also be manually operated.
• Manually controlled door:
The door is raised and lowered manually and must be supported when putting fuel into the stove.
It will close when released.
• Manually controlled door with magnet:
The door is raised and lowered manually. It will close when released except in the uppermost
position where it is secured by a magnet.
Remote control
The remote control button must be pressed for 1-2 seconds before the door control will react.
• Opening the door
Activate the remote control once and the door will move upwards until fully open. (It is possible
to stop the door in any position).
• Closing the door
Activate the remote control again and the door will move downwards until it is closed.
(It is possible to stop the door in any position).
• Code
The remote control has been coded at the factory.
Automatic air supply
The supply of air to the fire must be regulated continuously. This is carried out automatically by
HWAM WALL. HWAM WALL’s patented automatic regulation system ensures that the air supply is
correct at all times with the help of a bimetallic spring.
Fuelling instructions
Care should be taken the first time the stove is used as all the materials must become accustomed
to the heat. The lacquer the stove is treated with will harden the first time it is used and there may
therefore be some odour. Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not touch the lacquered surfaces with
gloves the first few time the stove is used.
The regulating rod is located at the lower rear on both sides of the stove. The front handle operates
