Installation, Programming and Maintenance User Guide Oxymatic Smart
V. 1.3.2. May 2015
38
NOTE: A low electrical conductivity or low TDS (less than 1200 mS / cm or 600 ppm), means
the electrodes can not develop at maximum intensity if the voltage applied is high (greater than
20 V), which makes the disinfection power decrease. It is recommended that the electrical
conductivity is such that it can reach the maximum intensity.
ATTENTION: Swimming pools and especially those made of concrete require weekly brushing in
areas where the automatic cleaning is not enough. It is also very important that the walls of
the pool are brushed to prevent the proliferation of algae resistant standard oxidation levels
between the joints.

IMCOMPATIBILITES AND POSSIBLE PROBLEMS WITH THE
OXYMATIC SYSTEM.
ATTENTION: the disinfection system by oxygen and mineral ions, OXYMATIC, is fully compatible with others
such as chlorine, bromine, active oxygen, etc ...
11.1.
PROBES OF RX ‐ COPPER‐PLATINUM AMPEROMETRIC PROBES.
In some cases it was found that the copper ions created by the OXYMATIC system have caused some
kind of interference in the reading of these probes. It is recommended to use Silver-Silver or Gold-Gold
probes in case an amperometric chlorine sensor is used.
11.2.
FLOCCULANTS AND ZEOBRITE FILTERS.
It is very important not to use flocculants in the filter with zeobrite or just before filtering. We
recommend to add to the pool.

SUMMARY OF MAINTENANCE OF THE OXYMATIC SMART SYSTEM
12.1.
GENERAL
Top up/replace worn-out products. Never run short of products.
Replace electrodes when worn out - approximately every 12000 - 15000 hours.
Change pH and Rx measurement probes when the calibration frequency increases, or if it is
no longer possible to calibrate them (approx. 2 years in normal use). Never leave a probe
without any water.
12.2.
DAILY
Check that the pump is working, and that no alarms are activated (Red colour).
Satisfy yourself that the water is clean and transparent (Visually).
12.3.
WEEKLY
Measure the copper with the kit and measure by drips (Copper kit is not included) (during
the first month of operation and once a month thereafter).
12.4.
MONTHLY
Check the electrodes’ voltage and amps (Initial Oxymatic screen < 9.5V)
Check the pool basin’s pH at least once a month (with a colorimetric or digital measurement
kit).
If the water is hard, check that the Titanium electrodes have no white- or limescale. If this is
the case, remove the limescale without scratching the electrode coating cover.
Measure the copper.
12.5.
EVERY OTHER MONTH
Calibrate the pH and Rx probes if the information measured directly at the pool basin does
not match the information given by the control unit (± 0.2 pH).
Check the santoprene tube, product tubes and injectors of the dosing sprays.
