6 – Air Compression Components

Mount the compressor and bracket assembly back in place and secure with 6 screws.

Make the following connections. Refer to
Connect the oil mist line
, oil line
, and temperature switch
.
Connect the air intake
to the compressor inlet valve and secure with the hose clamp.
Connect the output hose
to the tee fitting.

Reattach the compressor belt. See
Replace the air compressor belt
8.
Clean up any oil that spilled inside the system. Dispose of the old oil in compliance with local and national
regulations.
9.
Put the system’s cover, both side panels, and rear panel back in place. See
10.
Reconnect the negative (-) ground cable to the battery.
11.
Turn ON the system, and allow it to run for 2–3 minutes so that oil can circulate through the new air compressor.
12.
Turn OFF the system, and check the oil level in the air compressor after the oil has had time to settle. See page 63.
13.
Periodically check the air compressor to make sure there are no oil leaks.
