3.9.3 FTP
3.9.4 HTTP
When the FTP Application is selected in the Comms
dialog (Section 3.9), the FTP credentials can be
entered here and the connection to the server can be
tested with a test message.
“Host Address”
–.can either be a name or IP
address of the Host FTP Server. (up to 64 chars)
“Port”
– 21 for basic FTP
“SSL”
– Not available at this time.
“Username”
– FTP Username (up to 70 chars)
“Password”
– FTP Password (up to 150 chars)
(Tick the box to view the password)
“Path”
– Path where the data will be saved.
(up to 48 chars)
Whenever data is saved to this location, a check is
made for a file with the name mliot_xx-xxxx.cfg
where xx-xxxx is this devices serial number. If the
file is found, it is read back to the ML-IoT and
treated as a configuration file – allowing for remote
configuration updates. The filename is then changed
to mliot_xx-xxxx.don
Save the settings and then press :
“Test FTP”
: - to send a test file to the server –
progress of the connection and the transfer is
displayed.

address of the host HTTP server. The name will be
preceded with either http:// or https:// automatically.
(up to 64 chars)
“Port”
– 80 for basic http or 443 for secure https
“SSL”
– tick if connection is SSL secure
“Username”
– HTTP Username (up to 70 chars)
“Password”
– HTTP Password (up to 150 chars)
(Tick the box to view the password)
“URI”
– HTTP Resource Identifier (up to 48 chars)
Files are saved in “text/plain” format.
Save the settings and the press :
“Test HTTP”
– to send a test file to the server –
progress of the connection and the transfer is
displayed.
