Initial Setup
When you first apply power to the operator, it is locked in Menu mode
and prompts appear on the display. The gate will not move and the
controls will not function until the prompts have been answered. The
prompts include:
• Usage Class setting
•
Open Position setting (refers to the cylinder’s position when the
gate is open: Retracted or Extended)
• Three external entrapment protection SENSOR requirements.
CAUTION
Before turning the power switch to ON, be sure to replace the vent cap with the
breather cap. Refer to page <?>. Make sure all site requirements concerning
proper wiring, safety, foundation installation, and electrical power have been met.
Five buttons on the display keypad provide operational controls. Refer
to
Display and Menu Options
for more information. To answer the initial prompts, use the Previous, Next, and
Select buttons as described in the chart below:

Open Position is determined by viewing the gate opening from the secure side. If the cylinder retracts to close
the gate, set the Open Position to “R.” If it extends, select “E.”

gate swings out, swap position of the
hydraulic hoses.
