Pre-operational Inspection
Inspect the lift truck before starting daily operations to ensure safe operations and
to maintain the lift truck performance.
If damage or faulty operation are found during the inspection, contact your autho-
rized service dealer.
1. General
Look over the entire the lift truck.
1. Is there any damage to the chassis?
2. Is there fuel, oil or coolant leaks on
the ground or parts?
When inspecting or servicing the lift truck, stop on a level and solid
place, lower the forks to the ground, turn the key switch “OFF”, place the
operation levers into neutral and pull the parking brake.
CAUTION
Do not operate a lift truck that needs repairs. Report the need for repairs
immediately. If repair is necessary, put a “DO NOT OPERATE” tag in the
operator’s area. Remove the key from the key switch.
WARNING
All fuels are very flammable and can burn or cause an explosion. Do
not use an open flame to check the fuel level or to check for leaks in the
fuel system. If there is a leak in the fuel system, extra care must be used
during the repair. Do not operate the lift truck until a leak is repaired.
