4.1.1.1 Back-to-Back Mobile Radio Connection
The mobile radios can be connected in a back-to-back manner as below (Figure
2.15-2):

1) Ground wire
Connect Pin2 of mobile radio1 to that of mobile radio 2.
2) Activation of mobile radio transmission
Connect Pin3 of mobile radio 1 to Pin16 of mobile radio 2.
Connect the Pin16 of mobile radio 1 to the Pin3 of mobile radio 2.
3) Audio signal output
Connect the Pin8 of mobile radio 1 to the Pin7 of mobile radio 2.
Connect the Pin7 of mobile radio 1 to the Pin8 of mobile radio 2.
Note: Pin3 is programmable and can be replaced by Pin12, Pin20, Pin22 or Pin23.
All other pins must be connected.
In direct mode, the digital radio can not communicate with the analog radios, even if
the mobile radio can operate in either analog or digital mode. However, many
customers currently use the analog radio, which can not communicate with the
digital radios. In this case, you can adopt the back-to-back mobile radio application
to solve this problem. It supports analog-to-digital conversion, enabling the digital
radio to communicate with the analog radio.
This back-to-back solution is based on accessory pins of the mobile radio. On the
one hand, the analog mobile radio can transmit the received audio data to the digital
mobile radio via the accessory pins, and then trigger the PTT of this digital radio to
