COLD START
:
Move the choke lever to the ‘START’ position.
WARM START
: Leave the choke lever in the ‘RUN’ position.
5.2
Gently pull the recoil start handle until you feel resistance, the pull swiftly.
5.3
Repeat until the engine starts.
DO NOT
let go of the recoil handle, instead return the handle to the start position
slowly.
5.4
Once the engine has started, move the choke lever between the
START/RUN
positions
and adjust until the engine runs smoothly.
5.5
Once the engine has warmed up, move the throttle lever on the handlebars to the
desired working speed.
5. STARTING PROCEDURE
6.0
Move the throttle lever to the SLOW position.
6.1
Allow the engine to sit at idle under no load for 20 seconds.
6.2
Turn the engine switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
6.3
Turn the fuel tap to the ‘OFF’ position.
6.4
In an emergency, move the engine switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
NOTE
: Only use in case of emergency as continual use of the emergency stop
procedure could cause damage to the machine.
