DO NOT
allow dirt or debris to enter the cylinder bore.
8.19
Remove the spark plug HT lead cap.
8.20
Using a plug wrench, unscrew the spark plug in an anti-clockwise direction.
8.21

If the plug show any signs of wear or damage, the replace immediately.
8.22
Remove any carbon deposits from the spark plug electrode by using a soft wire brush.
8.23
The spark plug gap should be 0.70
– 0.80 mm (0.028” – 0.031”).
Check the plug gap by using a feeler gauge. The gauge must drag a little when being
slid between the electrodes.
8.24
Refit the spark plug by hand to avoid cross threading.
8.25
Once the spark plug seats, tighten the spark plug to a torque of 12 to 15Nm.
Tensioning the Belt(s)
NOTE: The normal belt deflection on each side should be 9 to 13mm.
This should be checked after the first 20 hours use then every 50 hours
thereafter.
8.26
Proper belt tensioning is critical to good performance and will ensure long belt life.
Too much or too little belt tension will cause premature belt failure.
8.27
Undo and remove the belt guard.
