CAUTION

use a hose pipe or pressure washer to clean the engine.
Water can damage the engine or contaminate the fuel system.

Wipe the deck with a dry cloth.

You can hose under the deck by tilting the mower.
Make sure you tilt the machine so that the air filter is facing up.
NOTE
the engine must be switched off and the spark plug HT lead cap disconnected.

Dry the machine completely to prevent any rust forming.
You can use a light silicone spray on exposed parts to help prevent rust.

Clean the lawnmower thoroughly.
Drain the petrol into a suitable container then run the lawnmower until it cuts out to
remove all the remaining fuel from the fuel lines and carburettor.
Drain the engine oil and replace with fresh semi-synthetic SAE
30 or
15W40 engine oil
Remove the spark plug and pour a teaspoon of fresh engine oil down the cylinder
bore.
With the spark plug still removed, gently pull the recoil starter handle 3 to 4 times to
coat the cylinder bore with oil, then refit the spark plug.
Check the blade and sharpen or replace if necessary.
Lubricate all moving parts with light silicone spray.
Store in a cool, dry place away from extremes of temperature.
