3.3 Sampling Procedure of Lithium Bromide Solution
(1) Sampling Procedure of Lithium Bromide Solution
1) Lithium bromide solution must be sampled after continuous operation of the chiller-heater for 5
days or more. Besides, it must be sampled after continuous operation of the chiller-heater for
5 hours or more on the sampling day.
2) At dilution operation, discharge refrigerant from the damp valve and collect one liter lithium
bromide solution from the discharge valve of the solution pump prior to the completion of dilute
operation.
3) As a rule, no refrigerant is collected as a sample except when refrigerant look colored in yellow.
4) Be sure to sample approx. 500 cc amount of lithium bromide solution after blowing at sampling.
5) Be sure to use a clean container for sampling.
(2) Sampling in off-season
1) For chiller-heater provided with a generator pump, operate the pump for 20 minutes with the
chilled water pump and cooling water pump stopped, and with the fuel control valve closed.
And then do the sampling work in the way mentioned in item (1).
2) When all amount of solution is discharged, sample one liter of the solution.
