If you do not follow these steps, deposits may arise in the carburetor. This will cause starting
difficulties and may cause permanent damage.
14.2
Perform all the general maintenance that the maintenance section of
your ‘User
Manual’ is recommended.
14.3
Clean the outside of the machine.
14.4
Remove all fuel from the fuel tank by tipping the content into a suitable container.
DO
NOT
use stale fuel in the next season.
14.5
After all the fuel has been removed from the fuel tank. Start the engine. Allow the engine
to run in idle until engine stops alone. This allows the remaining fuel to be emptied from
the carburetor.

Allow the engine to cool down for about five minutes.
14.7
Remove the spark plug and pour 1 teaspoon of clean engine oil into the combustion
chamber. Slowly pull the starter rope several times to coat internal components.
Re place the spark plug.

Store the machine in a cool, dry place away from any source of ignition such as an oil burner,
water heater etc.

Drain off the petrol in the fuel tank, storing into a suitable container.
14.10
Tum the engine switch to "ON" position, and loosen the carburetor drain screw to discharge
fuel from inside the carburetor.

Turn the engine switch to "OFF" position, and tighten the drain screw of carburetor.
14.12
Reinstall the spark plug cap.
