6.6.1.
The reductions gears are internally lubricated
by using a multipurpose lithium based grease .
6.6.2.
The grease should be topped up every 25 hours
– more often if required.
6.6.3.
To fill with grease remove the side bolt opposite
the grease nipple to allow for excess grease to
come out of the gear case.
6.6.4.
DO NOT overfill with grease.
6.7.
Intake air cooling vent.
Never touch the cylinder, muffler or spark plugs with your bare hands
immediately after stopping the engine. The engine can become very
HOT when in operation, and in doing so could result in severe burns.
When checking the machine make sure that it is okay before using it,
check the area around the exhaust muffler and remove any flammable
materials which may have attached to the machine. Failure to do so
could cause the exhaust muffler to becomes overheated, and this in turn
could cause the engine to catch on fire.
Always make sure that the exhaust muffler is clean and free of word
chips, leaves and other flammable waste before use.
6.7.1.
Check the intake air cooling vent and the area
around the cylinder cooling fins every 25 hours for
signs of blockages. Remove any waste and blockages.
NOTE
it may be necessary to remove the engine cover
to view the upper part of the cylinder (1).
6.7.2.
IMPORTANT
If waste gets stuck and causes a
blockage around the intake air cooling vent or
between cylinder fins, it may cause the engine to
overheat, and in turn may cause mechanical failure.
6.7.3.
Procedure to check exhaust muffler must be
carried out after every 100 hours of use.
6.7.3.1.
Remove the exhaust muffler, insert a
screwdriver into the vent and wipe away any
carbon build up. At the same time wipe away
any carbon build up on exhaust muffler
exhaust vent and cylinder ports.
