2.2 Entering Information
You can enter information on your device in the following ways:

Synchronizing
: Using
ActiveSync
, exchange information between your PC and Pocket
PC Phone. (For more information on
ActiveSync
, see Chapter 4).

Typing:
Tap characters on the standard soft keyboard shown below or Phone Pad.
n
Writing
: Using the stylus, write directly on the screen.
n
Drawing
: Using the stylus, draw directly on the screen.
n
Recording:
Create a stand-alone recording or embed a recording into a document or
note.
Using the Input Panel
Use the Input Panel to enter information in any program on your device. You can enter
characters by tapping them on the soft
Keyboard
or
Phone Pad
, or write using
Letter
Recognizer
,
Block Recognizer
, or
Transcriber
. In any case, the characters appear as
typed text on the screen.
To show or hide the most recently selected input panel, tap the Input Panel icon
. To
open the menu illustrated above, tap the arrow next to the icon, in the lower right corner of
the screen.
