1) After the installation of HDD, press and hold digits 1 and 3 and at 
the same time connect the case to the computer using the USB 
cable.  After 5 seconds, the red and the green LED will remain ON. 
You can release the digits. 
2) Press and hold the “*“ button for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the 
red,  the  green,  and  the  orange  LED  will  remain  ON.  You  can 
release the button.  
3)  On  the  number  pad  enter  Your  code  (minimum  4  digits, 
maximum is not limited) and press “#“. The blue and the orange 
LED will shortly blink. The red and the green LED will remain ON.
4) Enter Your code again a press “#“. When the entered code is 
correct, the green and the blue LED will remain ON.
5)  Now  you  need  to  format  the  HDD  –  see  the  following 
instructions.

FORMATTING OF THE NEW HDD

1) Using the right button click on “This Computer”.
2) Select “Administration”
3) Click on “Disc Administration”.
4) Select the HDD showing “Unallocated” or “Uninitialized” and 
the indicated capacity of the inserted disc (a slightly lower capacity 
is displayed).
5) If the disc is not initialized, use the right button to click in the left 
field and select “Disc Initialization”.
6) Use the right button and click on the disc area and choose “New 
Single Volume”, then click on “Next”.
7) Keep the volume size on the maximum and then click on “Next”.
8) Select “Add the volume letter” and click on “Next”.
9) Select “Format the volume with the following settings” (keep the 
default settings). Click on “Next” and “Finish”. 
10) The HDD will be formatted. The formatting time depends on 
the HDD size, after that the HDD will be visible in the system.

USING THE ENCRYPTION CASE

1) Connect the case to the computer using the USB cable.
2) Enter Your code and press “#“.
3) After 10 minutes of no activity the case will be locked.

CHANGING THE ENCRYPTION CASE PASSWORD

1) Disconnect the case. 
2) Press and hold button “*“ and at the same time connect the case 
to the computer using the USB cable.  After 5 seconds, the red, the 
green, and the orange LED will remain ON. You can release the 
button.
