Available Options
The following options may be present during a service call:
500-sheet paper module (tray 2)
Automatic envelope feeder

Memory options ( 1 MB, 2MB, or 3.5MB)
Printer Sharing option
Postscript option.
Parallel and Serial Interface Configuration
The printer uses a built-in parallel printer interface or a serial interface. Both inter-
faces share the same connector
For serial interface, the customer can use IBM serial cable P/N 6486685. See the
User's Guide for more information.
Toner and Print Head
Avoid using cleaning fluid on the print head window, print cartridge and HVPS con-
tacts.
Check for missing actuator on the top of the print cartridge. Open the printhead
shutter and clean the lens using a lint-free cloth folded over a cotton swab.
