5. Refer to the system board label inside the computer to locate the CMOS Clear
Jumper. See the jumper pin settings also on this label.
6. Move the jumper from its normal position (pins 1 and 2) to pins 2 and 3. It
might be helpful to use needlenose pliers to move the jumper, but be careful not
to damage any system board components or crush the jumper.
CAUTION:
Do not touch any components while power is on.
7. Plug in the power cord.
8. Turn on the computer for approximately 10 seconds.
9. Turn off the computer. CMOS memory is now cleared.
10. Unplug the power cord.
Note:
You might not be able to power off with a single touch of the power
switch until POST is nearly complete. Press and hold the power switch
for 5 seconds or unplug the power cord to power off your computer.
