4. If a cable tie is holding the battery in position, cut the tie. The cable tie is for the original
shipment of the unit and does not need to be replaced.

5. If a battery cover is positioned over the battery, lift the battery cover off the battery.

6. Lift the battery out of the operator panel assembly.
Replacement
Note: Ensure that the battery is replaced with the correct polarity (the positive pole should
be to the right as viewed from the front of the operator panel.
Replace in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
Note: When you have finished the removal and replacement procedure, tell the customer
to set the system time and date, the alternate bootlist, and any other settings stored
in NVRAM.
