3. If you are removing the I/O card, disconnect both flex cables connected to the I/O card.
4. Locate the card you are removing and position the extraction tools:
– R30 and R40 CPU enclosures: Position the single-piece extraction tool by placing the
pin of the extraction tool through the hole in the top corner of the card you are
removing.
Position the dual-piece extraction tool as follows: Position the pin of the dual-piece
extraction tool though the hole in the top corner of the card you are removing.
Attention: Ensure that the bottom of the dual-piece extraction tool is placed under the
system planar before removing any of the cards. Placing the dual-piece extraction tool
on the system planar while removing the cards can damage the system planar.
Place the bottom of the dual-piece extraction tool on the bottom of the CPU module.
