MEM LED on
A memory error occurred.
Actions:
1. Check the DIMM Error LEDs on the
memory board.
2. Replace the DIMM indicated by the
lit DIMM Error LED.
3. Replace the memory board.
If the problem persists, go to “General
checkout” on page 8.

FAN 1 LED on
Fan 1 has failed or is operating too slowly.
Note: A failing fan can also cause the TEMP
and DASD1 LEDs to be on.
Action: Replace fan 1.

FAN 2 LED on
Fan 2 has failed or is operating too slowly.
Note: A failing fan can also cause the TEMP
and DASD1 LEDs to be on.
Action: Replace fan 2.

FAN 3 LED on
Fan 3 has failed or is operating too slowly.
Note: A failing fan can also cause the TEMP
and DASD1 LEDs to be on.
Action: Replace fan 3.

FAN 4 LED on
Fan 4 has failed or is operating too slowly.
Note: A failing fan can also cause the TEMP
and DASD1 LEDs to be on.
Action: Replace fan 4.

TEMP LED on
The system temperature has exceeded the
maximum rating.
Actions:
1. Check to see if a fan has failed. If it
has, replace the fan.
2. Make sure the room temperature is
not too hot. (See “Specifications”
on page 61)
If the problem persists, go to “General
checkout” on page 8.

VRM LED on
One of the voltage regulator modules on the
processor board has failed.
