The
blade
server
cannot
be
inserted
into
the
BladeCenter
unit
until
the
cover
is
installed
and
closed.
Do
not
attempt
to
override
this
protection.
The
following
illustration
shows
how
to
close
the
blade
server
cover.
Complete
the
following
steps
to
close
the
blade
server
cover:
1
.
Read
the
safety
information
beginning
on
page
and
2.
Close
the
inner
cover.
It
clicks
into
place
when
it
is
closed,
see
step
1
.

If
you
removed
the
blade
be
z
el
assembly,
replace
it
now.
See
for
instructions,
and
step
2.
4.
If
you
removed
the
second
power
board,
replace
it
now,
see
step
2.

.
If
you
disconnected
any
PCI-
E
xpress
cables
reconnect
them
now.
See
the
documentation
that
comes
with
the
InfiniBand
option
for
detailed
installation
instructions.
6.
Lower
the
cover
so
that
the
slots
at
the
rear
slide
down
onto
the
pins
at
the
rear
of
the
blade
server,
as
shown
in
the
illustration.
Before
closing
the
cover,
make
sure
that
all
components
are
installed
and
seated
correctly
and
that
you
have
not
left
loose
tools
or
parts
inside
the
blade
server.
