Command Sets for Command Line Interface
23. interface <n> stats
Syntax:
interface <n> stats
Description:
The interface is regarded by the operating system as an Ethernet-like
device like other Ethernet devices. It also provides an ifEntry to
SNMP providing basic information about traffic through the interface.
This command shows the basic information about byte and packet
traffic through the interface, in SNMP terms.
24. user
Syntax:
user add <name> [pwd <passwd> [pap|chap]]
user [<name>]
user delete <name>|all
Description:
This command stores information about a particular login
name/password combination. This is referred to as a ‘
user
’,
regardless of whether it represents an individual. When
user
is called
on its own, information about all existing users is listed. When
user
<name>
is called with no further arguments, details of that user alone
are printed. Passwords are not shown.
Use
user delete
to delete an individual user by name, or to delete all
users.
Use
user add <name>
to create a new user or update an existing one.
The password is stored, and the authentication protocol which must
be used for this user.
If a user is deleted or changed, existing sessions are not affected.
Configuration saving saves this information.
