The mouse has a cable that plugs into the mouse connector at the rear of the
system unit.

Operate the mouse on cloth, unfinished wood, newspaper, or carpet
Drop or hit the mouse
Carry the mouse by holding onto the cable

Place the mouse in liquid spills
