Restoring Pre-Configuration (Support Element)
This procedure is to be performed on each Support Element. Each Support Element is associated
with a CPC listed on the CPC LOCATIONS diskette label created in STEP 2 of “Creating CPC
Locations Diskette” on page 6-65
1 Restoring the Support Element
1. Place the SE-RESTORE1 Diskette in the
Support Element drive

2. Press
ALT+CTRL+DELETE
to re-boot the
Support Element
3. If the
HARD DISK UPGRADE or RELOAD
panel displays, press
ESC
key.
OR
4. If the
SUPPORT ELEMENT RESTORE
PROGRAM
panel is displayed,
press and hold the CTRL key and then
depress the BREAK key.
NOTE.
It takes approximately 55 seconds for
the RESTORE PROGRAM screen to be
displayed.
5. Remove the SE-RESTORE1 diskette from
drive

6. Insert the
CPC LOCATIONS
diskette into
drive
A:

7. ENTER
COPY XXXX.C E:
(Where XXXX
equals the EIA location for the CPC
EXAMPLE=A18A.
8. ENTER
COPY XXXX.D E:
(Where XXXX
equals the EIA location for the CPC
EXAMPLE=A18A.
9. Remove the
CPC LOCATIONS
diskette
