Removing Diskette Drives
Note: The procedure for removing hard disk drives from the
bottom bay of your server is the same as the procedure for
removing diskette drives.
Before you begin, be sure you have:
Read “Electrical Safety” on page 124 and “Handling
Static-Sensitive Devices” on page 125.
Removed the server cover (see “Preparing to Add Options”
on page 126).
Determined the correct location of a failed hard disk, if your
server is a disk-array model, and your system indicates that
a drive is defective (bays 1–6 only).
To remove a drive from the lower 3.5-inch bays:
1. Disconnect the SCSI and power cables from the drive.
