Error Messages
Passwords
If you have a power-on password or administrator password set,
you must type the password and press Enter before POST will
continue.
The level of password protection determines the number of choices
that are available on the Configuration/Setup utility program menu.
POST Error Message Table
The following table shows error messages that might appear on the
screen during the power-on self-test (POST).
Notes:
1. The actions for some of the messages require you to start
the Configuration/Setup utility program. (For
instructions, see Chapter 3, “Configuring Your Server.”)
2. If a password prompt appears with a POST message,
type the administrator or power-on password; then press
Enter.

POST detected an invalid EISA configuration.
Action: Run the EISA configuration utility.
E10x
POST detected an invalid EISA configuration for slot x. This
error occurred because an EISA adapter was added or
removed.
Action: Run the EISA configuration utility.

A failure occurred during testing of the system board and
microprocessor.
Action: Have the system serviced.
Action: Have the system serviced.
111
An input/output (I/O) channel check occurred during testing
of the system board and memory. This failure is generally
caused by an adapter.
Action: Have the system serviced.
