Removing Internal Drives
Removing a Hot-Swap Drive
Before you begin:
Be sure you have:
Unlocked and opened the door
Opened the right front door (see “Preparing to Install
Options” on page 66 and “Preinstallation Steps (All Bays)”
on page 155).
Unlocked any padlock securing the EMI metal panel, and
remove the lock.
Notes:
1. To locate the hot-swap bays, see the first illustration given
under “Removing Internal Drives” on page 173.
2. You do not have to turn off the server to remove a drive from
the hot-swap bays.
3. Refer to the RAID adapter documentation for additional
information about hot-swap drives.
