Connecting the power cables to the system
You might need to connect power cables to the system. Use this procedure to perform this task.
Note:
Cable the system and set up a console, interface, or terminal. To cable the system, see “Cabling the
server and setting up the console” on page 15.
To connect power cables to the system, complete the following steps:
1.
Remove the power-supply shipping bracket (if present), as shown in Figure 20. Ensure that the power
supplies have been reseated.
2.
While facing the rear of the system unit, route the system power cord through the cable retention
bracket, as shown in Figure 21 on page 20.
Note:
You might need to pull the power supply out slightly to route the cable though the retention
bracket. After you route the cable through the retention bracket, reseat the power supply.
