Hold the drive tray by the bottom as you position the drive tray. Slide the drive try all the way into
the system. Push the drive tray in until the drive tray handle (A) starts to close, then push the handle
in until it locks, as shown in Figure 58.

Lock the drive tray handle (A) by pushing the handle in until it clicks into place.

Configure the installed or replaced drive for your environment.

After you insert a new drive, you must rescan for the device.

: To run the rescan command in Ubuntu, log into the system as the root user, and run
the command:
rescan-scsi-bus
This tool is provided in the scsitools package, which can be installed by using the command:
sudo apt-get install scsitools

and run the command:
rescan-scsi-bus -a
