Configuration Options
This topic provides descriptions of the SiteProtector SP1001 appliance configuration
options. These options are displayed in the Console’s System Administration tab.
Local configuration options
The following table describes the local configuration options:
Select this menu option...
To do this...
Set Server Name
Set the server name, DNS Suffix, and
Domain information.
Set Database Administrator Password
Create or change a database administrator
password.
Set Administrator Password
Create or change an Administrator password
when you access the SiteProtector SP1001
appliance.
Remote Desktop
Enable or disable access to the SiteProtector
SP1001 appliance through the remote
desktop client.
Set Default Page
Set the default page to the Status page or
the Welcome page. This option allows you
to choose which page the server displays
first.
Network configuration options
You can also edit or view other network SiteProtector SP1001 appliance options.
The table below describes the network SiteProtector SP1001 appliance options:

Edit or disable Remote Desktop access.

You must download the Remote
Desktop Active X Control before you can
use this feature.
Status
View system information about the
SiteProtector SP1001 appliance or alert
information.
Network
Set the server name, DNS suffix, and
domain membership.
Configure the IP address, DNS Server
address, and WINS server address.
Enable or disable the SNMP service.
Configure global settings that apply to all
network adapters.
Change an administrator password.
Disks
Manage and configure disks, volumes, disk
quotas, and storage-related features on the
server.
