Chapter 3. Error Code to FRU Index
The Error Code to FRU Index lists error symptoms and possible causes. The most
likely cause is listed first. Use this index to help you decide which FRUs to replace
when servicing the system. If you replace FRUs and the problem is still not
corrected, go to MAP 0030 in the
IBM RS/6000 Diagnostic Information for Multiple
Bus Systems.
Some three digit Fxx codes may appear to the left of the top row on the Liquid
Crystal Display(LCD) which is located on the front panel of the system. The intended
use of the three digit Fxx codes is to assure the observer that the Firmware is
operational after power on, and before information appears on the console display.
If any action is to be taken, it is listed in column two of the following table. If the
three digit Fxx code is not in the following table, and an action is still required, go to
“MAP 1540: Minimum Configuration” on page 2-18.
