4.7 Short frame
Short frames are available in two variations:
1. Short
model
frames (Model 500)
2. Short
expansion
frames (F/C 1500)
Figure 4-3 illustrates a short frame from a front view.

All short frames (including previous feature codes) are 1.25 m in height.
However, the short frame Scalable Electric Power Base Unit (SEPBU) power
subsystem has been redesigned to accommodate the latest SP processor
nodes. This upgrade is required before you can use SMP wide nodes and SMP
thin nodes in older frames.
