Symptom
Action
The
server
emits
a
continuous
beep
during
POST,
indicating
that
the
microprocessor
is
not
working
correctly.
1.
Correct
any
errors
that
are
indicated
by
the
LEDs
(see
“Light
path
diagnostics
LEDs”
on
page
52).
2.
Make
sure
that
the
server
supports
all
the
microprocessors
and
that
the
microprocessors
match
in
speed
and
cache
size.
3.

is
seated
correctly.
4.
Reseat
the
following
components:

diagnose
the
problem,
call

cables
are
firmly
connected.

using

video
port.
3.
Try
using
a
different
monitor
on
the
server,
or
try
testing
the
monitor

a
different
server.

the
diagnostic
programs

“Running
the
diagnostic
programs”
on
page
55).
If
the
monitor
passes
the
diagnostic
programs,
the
problem
might
be
a
video
device
driver.
