Install the cover (see “Replacing the server top cover” on page 265).

Slide the server into the rack.
6.
Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
7.
Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
Removing and replacing Tier 2 CRUs
You may install a Tier 2 CRU yourself or request IBM to install it, at no additional
charge, under the type of warranty service that is designated for your server.
The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.
Removing the video/USB cable assembly
To remove the video/USB cable assembly, complete the following steps:
1.
Read the safety information and installation guidelines, see “Safety” on page vii
and “Installation guidelines” on page 261.
2.
Turn off the server (see “Turning off the server” on page 17) and all attached
peripheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all external
cables as necessary to replace the device.
3.
Slide the server out of the rack.
4.
Remove the server top cover (see “Removing the server top cover” on page
264).
5.
Remove the fan cage assembly (see “Removing the fan cage assembly” on page
331).
6.
Disconnect the video/USB cable from the connector on the system board.
7.
Remove the two screws from the front of the video connector and pull the
video connector out of the slot on the server.
