Removing the power interposer card assembly
To remove the power interposer card assembly, complete the following steps:
1.
Read the safety information and installation guidelines, see “Safety” on page vii
and “Installation guidelines” on page 261.
2.
Turn off the server (see “Turning off the server” on page 17) and all attached
peripheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all external
cables as necessary to replace the device.
3.
Remove the server cover (see “Removing the server top cover” on page 264).
4.
Disconnect the power supplies that are connected to the power interposer card
assembly.
5.
Disconnect the power interposer card power cable from the power interposer
card assembly; then, pull the power interposer card up and out of the
connectors on the system board.

6.
If you are instructed to return the power interposer card assembly, follow all of
the packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that
are supplied to you.
Replacing a power interposer card assembly
To install the power interposer card assembly, complete the following steps:
1.
Read the safety information that begins on page “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 261.
2.
Reconnect the power interposer card power cable to the power interposer card.
