system setting. This menu does not appear for Windows 98 SE.

System Utilities
from the main menu. Press Enter.

Select
Create a Recovery Repair
diskette. Press Enter.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
7.
When the process is completed, label your diskette as the Recovery Repair
diskette and save it for future use.
To use the Recovery Repair diskette:
1.
Shut down and turn off your computer.
2.
Insert the Recovery Repair diskette into the drive; then turn on the
computer.
3.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

on-board help system. Open Access ThinkPad by pressing the ThinkPad
button. The following section describes problems that might prevent access to

Errors with messages

Message:
0175: Bad CRC1, stop POST task
Solution:
The EEPROM checksum is not correct (block #6). Have the
computer serviced.
Message:
0187: EAIA data access error
Solution:
The access to EEPROM failed. Have the computer serviced.
Message:
0188: Invalid RFID serialization information area or bad CRC2.
