0220: Monitor type error
Solution:
The monitor type does not match the type specified in CMOS. Run
the IBM BIOS Setup Utility to make sure that your monitor type matches the
type specified in the utility.
Message:
0230: Shadow RAM error
Solution:
The shadow RAM failed. Test your computer’s memory with the PC
Doctor. If you added a memory module just before turning the computer on,
reinstall it. Then test the memory with PC-Doctor.
Message:
0231: System RAM error
Solution:
The system RAM failed. Test your computer’s memory with the PC
Doctor. If you added a memory module just before turning the computer on,
reinstall it. Then test the memory with PC-Doctor.
Message:
0232: Extended RAM error
Solution:
The extended RAM failed. Test your computer’s memory with
PC-Doctor. If you have increased memory just before turning the computer
on, reinstall it. Then test the memory with PC-Doctor.
Message:
0250: System battery error
Solution:
The system battery is dead. Replace the battery and run the BIOS
Setup Utility to verify the configuration. If you still have a problem, have the
computer serviced.
Message:
0251: System CMOS checksum bad
Solution:
The system CMOS might have been corrupted by an application
program. The computer uses the default settings. Run the BIOS Setup Utility
(refer to “Using the BIOS Setup Utility” on page 8)to reconfigure the settings.
If you still see the same error code, have the computer serviced.
Message:
0252: Password checksum bad
Solution:
The password you have set is cleared. Run the BIOS Setup Utility to
set the password.
Message:
0260: System timer error
Solution:
Have the computer serviced.
