Remove,

reconfigure

enclosures

devices
in
the
rack
cabinet.
Important:
Before
installing
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
in
a
rack,
it
is
important
that
you
do
the
following:

Review
the
documentation
that
comes
with
your
rack
enclosure
for
safety
and
cabling
considerations.
v
Install
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
in
a
maximum
35°C
(95°
F)
environment.
v
To
ensure
proper
airflow,
do
not
block
the
air
vents;
15
cm
(6
in.)
of
air
space
is
sufficient.
v
To
ensure
rack
stability,
load
the
rack
starting
at
the
bottom.
v
If
you
install
multiple
components
in
the
rack,
do
not
overload
the
power
outlets.
v
Always
connect
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
to
a
properly
grounded
outlet.
v
Always
connect
redundant
power
supplies
of
devices
in
the
rack
into
separate
electrical
circuits.

strap
and

cart
or
level
surface

hold
the
CRUs).
You
will
use
the
following
procedure
to
prepare
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
for
installation.
These
instructions
can
be
used
after
you
have
completed
all
applicable
site,
rack
cabinet,
and
storage
expansion
enclosure
preparations
discussed
in
The
storage
expansion
enclosure
comes
with
a
rack-mounting
hardware
kit
for
installation
into
a
rack
cabinet.
It
is
easier
to
lift
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
and
install
it
in
a
rack
cabinet
if
you
remove
all
CRUs
first.
Attention:
This
section
describes
how
to
remove
the
CRUs
in
order
to
minimize
the
weight
of
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
before
you
install
it
in
the
rack.
However,
if
you
have
three
or
more
people
available
to
lift
and
install
the
storage
expansion
enclosure
in
a
rack,
you
might
not
find
it
necessary
to
remove
the
CRUs
before
you
install
the
storage
expansion
enclosure.
If
this
is
the
case,
you
can
skip
the
CRU
removal
instructions
provided
in
this
section.
Instead,
continue

replacement
