About this task
Deleting a policy removes the policy in its entirety from the repository. A
replication policy can be deleted even if one or all of its destinations are not
responsive. All running and pending activities associated with this policy are
cancelled, but the replication destination directory remains intact.
Note:
It is the user’s responsibility to delete the replication destination directory
when it becomes necessary. For more information, see “Deleting a replication
directory” on page 114.
Procedure
Follow the steps to delete a replication policy:
1.
From the Systems Management view, select Replication Policies in the
navigation pane.
Tip:
You can also right click on the policy and select the Delete Replication
Policy
option.
2.
Click on the policy from the Replication Policies list to delete.
3.
Choose Replication > Replication Policy > Delete replication policy. A
warning is displayed that all pending and running activities associated with
this policy will be stopped.
4.
Click Yes to confirm deleting the policy. The replication policy is deleted and
removed from the Replication Policies list.
Running a replication policy in FSI
This task explains how to run a replication policy in an FSI environment
About this task
Running a replication policy allows you to replicate all policy source directory data
without having to wait for a backup trigger. All data contained on the directories
that are associated with this policy will be replicated.
Note:
Any data that already exists on the destination repository will not be
replicated again.
Procedure
To manually run a replication policy:
1.
Select the policies to run. Right click on them and select the Run replication
policy
option. Click Yes when the confirmation window is displayed
2.
Select the policies to run and go to Replication > Replication Policy > Run.
Click Yes when the confirmation window is displayed
3.
Click Run. The replication policy will begin to run.
Note:
An optional way to manually run a replication policy, select Replication
Policies
from the navigation pane. Right-click on a policy appearing in the
Replication Policies
list and choose Run replication policy.
