Logging in and out of the ProtecTIER Manager application
Complete this task to log in to and log out of the ProtecTIER Manager application.
About this task
ProtecTIER Manager has default user accounts corresponding to three user
permission levels: Administrator, Operator, and User. The default username and
password for each of these accounts are as follows:

Log in to each ProtecTIER node that you want to manage with the ProtecTIER
Manager.
Procedure
1.
Click the Login button. The Login dialog box is displayed.
2.
Enter your username and password.
3.
Click Ok. The Login dialog box closes and ProtecTIER Manager displays the
information for that node.
Results
IBM recommends that you change or replace these default user accounts. For more
information, see “Managing users” on page 33.
Note:
Only one Administrator can be logged in to a ProtecTIER node at a time. To
avoid conflicts, you should log out at the end of each session by clicking the
Logout
button.
If you log in with Administrator level permission while another Administrator is
already logged in, a message box is displayed with the following message:
Administrator is already logged in:
Username:
Host:
IP address:
Would you like to login anyway?
Clicking Yes forces the other Administrator to logout.
