reporting-interval
Specifies the number of seconds after a failed attempt to log a message at
the
error
level instead of the default
debug
level. The minimum and
default is 1.
total-retries
Specifies the total number of connection attempts to perform after the
initial failed attempt. The minimum and default is 1.
Guidelines
The
remote-retry
command allows you to define a policy for failed network
connection that occur while attempting to retrieve a WSDL file from a remote
server. If you define this policy, specify the following information:
v
The number of connection attempts to perform after the initial failed attempt
v
The number of seconds to wait after a failed attempt to perform another
connection attempt
v
The number of seconds after a failed attempts to log a message at the
error
level instead of the
debug
level
If the retry interval is ten seconds and the reporting interval is four seconds, the
system logs a message at the
error
level every four seconds until the next
connection attempt. During the ten seconds between connection attempts, the
system logged the
error
message twice. If this connection attempt fails, the system
logs the message at the
debug
level and then four seconds later logs the message at
the
error
level.
Note:
If identical event detection for the Log Target is enabled and its suppression
period is greater than the reporting interval, logging of the failure message
at the
error
level is suppressed.
While the Web Service Proxy attempts to retrieve the WSDL file, the WSDL status
is
Processing
. If the Web Service Proxy is unable to retrieve the file, the WSDL
status is
Error
. When the remote server becomes responsive, disable the Web
Service Proxy and then re-enable it. Between each change in the administrative
state, save the change to the running configuration.
