Chapter 2
Working With Your WorkPad
This chapter explains how to open applications, use
the on-screen keyboard, write with the stylus and
use common features on your IBM WorkPad.
Selecting Applications
Your WorkPad is equipped with a variety of applications. All the
applications installed on your WorkPad appear in the Applications
Launcher. You can use the Applications Launcher to open any
application installed on your WorkPad. You can also open the four
main applications — Date Book, Address Book, To Do List and Memo
Pad — with the buttons on the front panel of your WorkPad.
Tip:
When you press the buttons on the front panel, you have
instant access to the selected application. You don’t even need
to turn on your WorkPad first.
In addition to providing a way for you to open applications, the
Applications Launcher displays the current time, battery level and
application category.
To open applications:
1. Tap the
icon on the WorkPad screen to open the Applications
Launcher.
