reset
the
power-on
and
administrator
passwords,
complete
the
following
steps.
1.
Turn
on
the
server.
2.
When
the
prompt
Press
F1
for
Configuration/Setup
is
displayed,
press
F1.
3.
Select
System
Security
from
the
main
menu.
4.
Follow
the
instructions
on
the
menu
to
reset
each
password.
Updating
the
BIOS
code
Important:
For
correct
server
operation,
be
sure
to
update
the
baseboard
management
controller
firmware
before
you
update
the
BIOS
code.
For

most
current
level
of
BIOS
code
is
available
at

After
you
make
sure
that
the
server
has
the
latest
baseboard
management
controller
firmware
level,
you
can
update
the
BIOS
code
through
one
of
the
following
methods:
v
Downloading
the
latest
BIOS
code
from
this
IBM
Web
site,
creating
an
update
CD
or
diskette,
and
using
the
CD
drive
or
an
external
USB
diskette
drive
to
install
the
BIOS
code.
v
Installing
an
update
package
for
the
Linux
or
Microsoft
Windows
operating
system,
if
it
is
available.
Using
the
ServerGuide
Setup
and

CD
The
ServerGuide
Setup
and
Installation

contains
a
setup
and
installation
program
that
is
designed
for
your
server.
The
ServerGuide
program
detects
the
server
model
and
optional
hardware
devices
that
are
installed

uses

information

setup

configure

hardware.

drivers
