DIAGNOSTIC EVENT

MEMORY

In case the remote start cranks but fails to start and stay running or shuts down prematurely, a diag-
nostic event is created and stored in memory.  The last four diagnostic memory events may recalled
by turning the ignition on and  off, then pressing the valet switch once.  The parking lights will flash 3
times and the horn will honk (if installed) the same number of times as the number of events in mem-
ory (up to 4).  If the horn does not honk, there are no events stored.
Press the valet switch once to check the last diagnostic code.  The horn will honk to indicate the first
code and the LED will flash a number of times equal to the shutdown code.  Continue this procedure
to view up to 4 events.
Once the diagnostic memory is full it must be cleared by pressing the valet switch for 5 seconds while
in the diagnostic memory mode.  The parking lights will flash and horn will honk once to indicate the
memory is cleared.
