Satellite AP configuration through CLI
Telnet the AP which needs to be selected as Satellite and enter the following
commands:
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 wds-mode satelliteap
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 wds-ssid wds0
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 remote-mac [MAC address of RootAP]
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 wds-security-policy wpa-personal
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 wds-wpa-personal-key 123456789
ICX420GAP# set wds wds0 wds-status up
Configuration through GUI
Root AP configuration:
1. On the AP that is chosen as a Root AP go to the web interface of the AP and click
on the WDS page.
2. Select the radio (1-2) on which the wireless bridging needs to be configured.

The ICX420GAP is a dual band AP supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
simultaneously
3. Select WDS mode as
RootAP
.
4. Enter the MAC address of the satellite AP (Remote AP) in the Remote-MAC field.
5. Select the security and enter the WPA security key. (Note: the WDS SSID and
security key should be same on both the Root AP and Satellite AP in order to connect
them.)
