Chapter 5 Servicing
Introduction
The
360
scanner requires minimal servicing. Routine
maintenance is limited to the following items:
•
Cleaning the upper door window.
•
Inspecting and cleaning the drum.
•
Occasionally cleaning the lenses.
•
Replacing the lamp should it fail.
•
Cleaning the contact surfaces between the drum
and scanner.
All these tasks can be easily carried out by the
operator and are described in this chapter.
Fixed Covers
There are no user serviceable parts within the
fixed covers. No attempt should be made to
remove them.
The fluorescent tubes mounted behind the
windows in the vanity panel may only be
changed by an ICG qualified service engineer.
Cleaning the Upper
Door Window
The window in the upper door should be cleaned
using a high quality proprietary drum cleaner applied
with Selvyt cloth.
